How We Work Together
Last updated: 26 July 2026
The terms we work to: what you get, what we need from you, what things cost and who owns what at the end.
Quotes and price
We give you one clear fixed price for the whole project, agreed in writing before any work starts. We do not bill by the hour and we do not send surprise invoices. If you later ask for something outside what we agreed, we will price it separately and wait for your go-ahead.
What is included
Unless we say otherwise in your quote, a website project includes the design, the build, writing the words, setting up local SEO, and testing on real phones before launch.
What we need from you
The parts that usually hold a project up are photos, logins and approvals. The faster those come back, the faster we launch. We will tell you exactly what we need and when.
Who owns what
You own your website, your domain and your content, outright. You are not renting anything from us and you can take it elsewhere whenever you like. We keep the right to show the finished site in our own portfolio unless you ask us not to.
Timescales
We will give you a realistic timescale with your quote. Dates depend on approvals and content coming back, so they move if those do.
After launch
A website needs looking after: updates, backups and security. You can handle that yourself or we can, with a care plan. Either way you can reach a real person.
Payment
We ask for half the price up front to book your slot in the diary, and the other half when the site goes live. Invoices are due within 14 days. We take bank transfer. If an invoice is more than 30 days late we may pause work until it is settled, and we will always tell you before we do.
If either of us wants to stop
Either of us can stop the project at any time by saying so in writing. If you stop, you pay for the work done up to that point and you keep it: the designs, the words and the code are yours. The deposit covers the time we have already set aside for you, so it is not refundable. If we stop, we refund anything you have paid for work we have not done.
Liability
What we are and are not responsible for is set out in the written quote that forms your contract with us. If any of it is unclear, ask us before you sign and we will talk it through in plain English.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
